Community: Feed & Posts

The Community Feed is the social heart of Mini Vault. You can browse what other miniaturists are building, ask for advice, or share your own works in progress.

1. Browsing the community feed​

  1. Open the sidebar and click Community.
  2. Make sure you are on the Feed tab.
  3. Scroll down to view the latest posts from everyone in the community!

2. Creating a post​

You don't need a specific item in your vault to create a general text or image post!

  1. At the top of the feed, click the big text box inside the "Create Post" area.
  2. Tell the community what you are working on, ask a question, or share a story.
  3. Click the Image icon to upload a supportive picture straight from your device.
  4. (Optional) Alternatively, use the Attach Item button to select a miniature from your catalog.
  5. Click Post.

3. Reacting to posts​

A quick way to show your support is to react to a post!

  1. Look below any post for the row of emoji icons (like ❤️, 👍, or 🔥).
  2. Click any of the icons to instantly add your reaction.
  3. Your avatar will be shown to the poster to let them know you liked their work!

4. Replying and commenting​

A great community requires great conversation. Find a post that interests you and jump right in!

  1. Find the post you want to reply to.
  2. Click the Comment button (💬).
  3. Type your thoughts into the reply box.
  4. Click Post Reply.
  5. Once your reply is visible, other members can react or reply directly to your comment, forming threaded conversations.

5. Bookmarking posts​

If you see a great tutorial or a beautiful build that you want to reference later, you can Bookmark it!

  1. Click the Bookmark icon (🔖) below the post or in the top right menu of the post.
  2. The post is now saved!
  3. To find all your bookmarked posts, click the Bookmarks tab at the top of the main community page.

6. Copying a post link to share​

Want to share a great post with someone outside Mini Vault, or send it to a friend in another app?

  1. Find the post you want to share.
  2. Click the Share button (or the link icon 🔗) below the post.
  3. The post's URL is instantly copied to your clipboard.
  4. Paste the link anywhere — in a text message, email, or another social platform!
tip

The copied link works for anyone, even people who don't have a Mini Vault account. They will see the post on a public preview page.

7. Editing and deleting your posts​

Made a typo? No problem.

  1. Find your post in the feed.
  2. Click the three dots (...) in the top right corner.
  3. Select Edit to change the text, or Delete to permanently remove the post.
  4. Click Save Changes (or confirm the deletion).

8. Using @mentions​

You can tag specific miniaturists to draw their attention to your post or comment.

  1. While typing a post or reply, press the @ key.
  2. Type the first few letters of the person's Display Name.
  3. A dropdown menu will appear. Select their name from the list.
  4. When you submit your post, that person will receive a notification that you mentioned them!

9. Managing notifications​

The Community Feed moves fast. To stay on top of your interactions:

  1. Click the Notifications bell icon 🔔 at the very top of your screen.
  2. Here you can see who replied to your posts, who mentioned you, and who reacted to your showcases.

10. Filtering by category​

Sometimes you only want to see specific types of content, such as tutorials or "for-sale" listings.

  1. On the main Community page, look for the Filter dropdown near the top.
  2. Select a category (e.g., General, Showcases, Q&A, Marketplace).
  3. The feed will instantly update to show only posts matching your selected category.
