Community: Q&A Workshop
The Q&A Workshop is a specialized area of the community dedicated exclusively to questions, answers, advice, and tutorials. It's built like a forum, designed to help you solve tricky miniature problems.
1. Asking a question
Are you stuck on how to wire a 1:12 scale chandelier? The Workshop is the perfect place to ask!
- Open the sidebar and click Community.
- Click the Workshop (Q&A) tab at the top.
- Click the Ask a Question button.
- Give your question a clear, descriptive Title (e.g., "Best glue for brass parts?").
- Write your detailed question in the body. You can attach photos of your problem if needed.
- Select any relevant tags (e.g., "wiring," "adhesive," "scratch-build").
- Click Post Question.
2. Answering questions
Share your expertise and help a fellow miniaturist!
- Find a question in the Workshop that you know how to answer.
- Click on the question title to open the full thread.
- Scroll to the bottom and write your solution in the Your Answer box.
- Click Submit Answer.
3. Voting and best answers
To ensure the most helpful advice rises to the top, the community can vote on answers.
- Upvote: If an answer is helpful, click the Up Arrow (⬆️) next to it.
- Downvote: If an answer is incorrect or unhelpful, click the Down Arrow (⬇️).
Selecting the Best Answer: The Solution If you asked the original question, you have the power to mark one answer as the final solution!
- Find the answer that solved your problem.
- Click the green checkmark (✔️) button labeled Mark as Solution next to the answer.
- That answer will now be highlighted in green at the very top of the page so future miniaturists with the same problem can quickly find the solution.
4. Workshop comments
Answers are meant for solutions. If you just want to clarify something, ask a follow-up question, or say "thank you," you should leave a comment instead!
- Find the answer or original question you want to clarify.
- Click the small Add a comment button directly underneath it.
- Type your comment and press
Enter. - Your comment will appear in small text below the main entry, keeping the thread clean and focused.
