Getting Started

Welcome to your new digital workspace! This guide will walk you through setting up your Mini Vault account and adding your very first miniature to your catalog.

1. Creating your account​

You can create an account using your email address, or quickly sign in using an existing Google or Discord account.

  1. Go to bhmminivault.com/auth/signup.
  2. Enter your email and choose a strong password, or click Continue with Google / Continue with Discord.
  3. Click Create Account.

2. Email verification​

If you signed up with an email and password, you'll need to verify your email address before you can access your vault.

  1. Check your inbox for an email from "BHM Mini Vault".
  2. Click the Verify Email button inside the message.
  3. You will be redirected back to the login page. Sign in with your new credentials.

3. Setting up your profile​

Before you start cataloging, set up your public profile so other community members can recognize you.

  1. Once logged in, open the sidebar and click Settings.
  2. Click Upload Avatar to choose a profile picture.
  3. Enter a Display Name. This is how you will appear in the Community Feed.
  4. Add a short bio to introduce yourself and your collecting interests.
  5. Click Save Changes.

4. Creating your first collection​

Collections are how you group your items together. You can organize them by room, by theme, by scale, or however makes sense for you!

  1. From the sidebar, click Collections.
  2. Click the New Collection button in the top right.
  3. Enter a name for your collection in the Name field (e.g., "1920s Victorian Parlor").
  4. Add an optional Description.
  5. Choose your privacy setting (Private, Unlisted, or Public).
  6. Click Create Collection.

5. Adding your first item​

Now that you have a collection, it's time to add your first miniature!

  1. Inside your new collection, click Add Item.
  2. Enter the Name of your miniature.
  3. Fill out any other details you know, such as the Category, Scale, or Condition.
  4. Click Add Item at the bottom of the page.
  5. On the next screen, you can upload photos of your item.

Congratulations! You've just cataloged your first miniature in Mini Vault.

6. Resetting your password​

Forgot your password? No worries — you can reset it in just a few steps.

  1. Open the sign-in page and click the Forgot password? link below the password field.
  2. Enter the email address you used to create your account.
  3. Click Send Reset Link.
  4. Check your inbox for an email from "BHM Mini Vault" with the subject line "Reset Your Password."
  5. Click the Reset Password button inside the email.
  6. You will be taken to the Update Password page. Enter your new password and confirm it.
  7. Click Update Password.
  8. You will be redirected to the sign-in page. Log in with your new password.

Password reset links expire after a short time. If the link has expired, go back to step 1 and request a new one.
